Abel Tasman Sea Shuttles invites you to discover New Zealand's Abel Tasman National Park

Scenic cruises and water taxis depart Kaiteriteri Beach daily, just 90minutes from Nelson and 15 from Motueka

Abel Tasman Sea Shuttle has started construction on a new vessel to travel into the Abel Tasman National Park from Nelson. The new vessel is designed specifically for crossing Tasman Bay and servicing the Abel Tasman National Park. The boat itself will be built in the Sea Shuttle workshop in Motueka by the owners and skippers themselves.

We feel that the use of a purpose built vessel out of Nelson will enhance the visitor experience and offer an environmentally friendly alternative to road transport. We expect the boat to be running by December 2010.

Our scenic cruise range in duration from 1.75, to 3 hours, or a full day with a walk option, so whatever your commitments we should have something to suit your schedule.

Here is a video of our new vessel being constructed. She will seat 150 and travel from Nelson to the Abel Tasman National Park and back to Nelson.

We think that the boat will be the most comfortable boat operating in the park with plenty of room to move, a cafe, DVD, toilets and an upstairs viewing deck.
